Two German citizens were killed in a serious bus accident in Peru. A total of 16 people were killed in the accident in the south of the country, the prosecutor of the South American country said on Monday evening.
At least 40 people were injured. The two German casualties are reported to be a woman and a man aged 28 and 30.
The bus was traveling in the area of the city of Arequipa on the Panamericana. There he got off the road and crashed into eight vehicles parked on the side of the road. According to the authorities, the bus driver said the brakes failed.
