Iran admits “unintentional” plane shootings

Iran has now admitted that the passenger plane that crashed near Tehran crashed. A statement released by the military on state television on Saturday said the Ukrainian jet had flown past an important military base. He was then accidentally crashed. Those responsible would be held accountable within the military.

All 176 people on board had died in the crash. The Iranian military took pity on the families of the victims. The USA, Canada and Great Britain had previously suspected that the machine had been shot down, but Iran had initially denied it.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Sarif partially blamed the United States. They were responsible for the heated atmosphere that led to the human error, he tweeted. The United States killed Iranian General Kassem Soleimani last week.
